Welcome to the website for the Tanglewood Condominium Association.
Tanglewood is a bare-land condominium on the north western edge of the City of Calgary consisting of 160 resident owned homes built amidst the upstream environs of Twelve Mile Coulee. Tanglewood is situated in the community of Tuscany.
This website contains information for residents and prospective residents regarding the condominium association, governance of the condominium, contracted services and amenities within the boundaries of Tanglewood, and the responsibilities of residents.
This website will help existing, new, and prospective residents become familiar with many of the issues of special interest to the residents of Tanglewood today. The Board recommends residents attend the Annual General Meeting and look for opportunities to exercise their constructive influence throughout the year.

SWALE CLEANING TIME - It's a good time of year for residents to check their swales (if applicable) and ensure no debris or blockage will prevent Spring rains from easily flowing through our community. The swales that run throughout Tanglewood are City-owned but Tanglewood residents share maintenance duties by responsibly removing garbage, silt and dirt throughout the year. BLUE RECYCLING BINS - Tanglewood is a Condominium Corporation so the City classifies us as a multifamily dwelling/area such that we do not get to participate in the Blue Box program (yet). However, of particular note: we will not be levied the City's $8 per month per resident for their recycling program. The per-resident cost of our current recycling pickup program is approximately $7.75, hence there is no significant cost differential. On the positive side: The city representative we consulted suggested we would be an excellent candidate for BlueBox once all quadrants of the City are in full swing and the City has had an opportunity to evaluate capacity etc. The Board is actively monitoring the situation because we are eager to participate. It may be the Fall or later before the City can conduct an evaluation to add us to the program.

The TanglewoodEstates.com website was upgraded in late 2008. The new site offers the potential for more interaction between the Board and Tanglewood residents. It provides the Board with tools for the timely delivery of new site content, the creation of mailing lists and even to take surveys.
The Board hopes residents view the site as an enhancement to their Tanglewood home ownership experience, that it grows our sense of community and helps us evolve our policies and guidelines in directions that are aligned with the views of the majority of residents. Please provide us with feedback and suggestions for how to strengthen our community.
